notes for delay the inevitable.

This is one of the themes i wanted. So, YAY



here's what i'm thinking right off the bat.

anything that builds and then is released is what i'm looking for. It's a game where something or someone keeps piling up at the gates and breaking them down. Kind of like a zombie style invasion defense game. that sounds fun. WIth shotguns! right.

Sounds like shotgun johnny is going to our look and our protagonist. Huge hat, big guns. big effects when shooting guns. Because i like games like that. I think that other things should be with the 'zombie-like' things trying to get it in
i think that it should be a top down, irregular mansional thing. you can unlock areas.
You absolutely need to see things piling up. So every glass entrance is ... breakable. You should be
able to reenforce them with stuff. Maybe have a time period to setup defenses? Maybe have where
you can have phases, defense phase, build phase, buy phase.

sounds really complicated. Lets keep it simple.

glass doors, (so you can see your enemy). Have them just build up until it breaks. Then there's a flood of enemies that come in all at once.

i'd like a variety of enemies, but of course we have to start simple. If they touch you they damage you. (that's simple too. yay)

The weirder the better. Your goal is to simply delay your death. The building up of people on the glass is KEY to victory here. It just sounded like so much fun. Different wall types too will buildup with enteties over time.

what should we fight?
something small, that squeaks cute when you hit it. Have pushback with the shotgun, maybe attach to the buttllet for a second?

furbals? idk. 

title. They are coming. Furbals. Get the soda. Get the CD. You can't stop it. They will get in, eventually. Stop the clock. Save my day.
Stop the furbals. Delay the furbals. I like the idea of alittle furbal with a large body (furry body) cute face, four little legs. Tank furbal, fast furbal, blue furball, etc. charge up like sonic and blast in, etc.
furbalocalypse. Someone let the furbals in. The day the furbals arrived. Holy Furbals.

order of events:
DONE-->Player (we have a player, but no animations) need code.
DONE-->Player shotgun - needs code.
DONEish-->Enemy (i have the drawing, no code)
DONEish-->Level(random floor, with flooring and random wall placement, we'll get the glass later? not sure yet.) Need coded.
DONE-->EnemyRunsIntoGlass, and can break it if enough of them hit it. i'd say for now, one per hit.
DONE-->	they move back to charge at it again.
DONE-->	we can use linear directional movement to ensure all glass panes are hit.
DONE-->	corners are really nasty because they plow through all of them.
DONE-->Enemy death - needs code.
DONE-->Enemy kills player - needs code.
DONE-->Player gets score - needs code.
Player wins. (win screen) - needs code
DONE-->Player loses. (lose screen) - needs code
waves of enemys -- which eventually leads to the player losing, but you win if you last 'long enough' or something like that. Maybe collect enough coins. "maybe".

bonus stuff:
BUILD TURRETS. things to shoot them. That way it FEELS like you actually are delaying it!! - This would really really really help if i can pull that off.

This is the main strategey of the game. You bolster your walls. The longer you hold them off (build up the walls, the faster your score goes up)
if they break through, it's survival mode. haha.
Different walls have different strengths. You MUST see them piling up. They have to. The more that pile, the more points you get. So, that's the main effect
i'm trying to achieve. This, impending doom. Have the music get faster and more intense, the more there are. So have it change tracks. I've not done that, but
am interested to see if that is going to be a thing. Sound should be great. Once i have the basic game down. Then it's adding these elements:

add more enemies: 
Tank enemy
charge and attack enemy
jumper
leave a trail of fire enemy
splitter
Wall breaker (have it charge up outside the wall and have you watch the whole thing happen)

add more 'delaying the inevitibale'
better turrets
biiiiiig gun


extra ideas:
maybe have a wind compass that shows where they are blowing in from and have a tumble weed kind of animation to have them blow in faster? this could be a nice 'predictor'
of delaying the enevitibaable

THINGS TO ABSOLUTELY DO: (i doubt i will have time for this: :(  )
menu icon needs updated to look like the furbal icon.
remove save and load game.
remove other keys that are not being used. I'm not even sure how to do that except to burrow through. sigh.
